Fiscal Year 2018 Annual Budget
Posted on Feb 22nd, 2018
As determined at our February 21, 2018 meeting, our fiscal year 2018 annual budget is available for your information and review under the documents section. The Board of Directors approved a budget without an increase in homeowner assessments. The 2018 Budget supports our continuous commitment to the maintenance and upkeep of our common area that has set our community apart from most others in the local area. Further, it was determined that other extraordinary expenses, such as hurricane clean-up or major repairs should come out of existing balances and the association should not impose a special assessment.
Hurricane Irma emergency cleanup has been completed

The Bentwood Common Area curb has been cleared of debris, trimmed and mowed. There were large amounts of garbage, lumber, bricks and several areas of concrete poured onto the ground, probably from wheel barrels. Weekly service to cut grass and edge the mulch/tree line is under review.
The Bentwood Common Area was cleared of all logs, broken limbs and other large natural obstructions. Over 10,000 lbs. of large logs were removed by hand due to the nature of the deck and dock. Additional broken trees, fallen limbs and other brush constitute another 30,000 lbs of debris removed. Much of the brush is being recycled into mulch possibly for the path and parking areas, keeping with our vision of a natural community.
